Ira Dressner, PCC
Ira Dressner PCC, Ph.D., is a Spiritual Coach who works to reduce and remove pain from his clients. He works with physical pain, pain of the heart and emotional pain. He leads trainings showing how coaches can work with pain management and the elimination of all sorts of pain by using subtle energy fields. The tools he has employed in the past five years are the crystal/Tibetan bowls, didgeridoo, tincha, and the gong. Ira's strengths lie in helping people gain perspective and clarity about their lives, so that the important parts of the person he works with fit together. Ira’s life coaching addresses a client's personal and professional priorities, life balance, relationships, goal-setting, planning and spirituality.
Ira works with a wide range of clients: from professionals, individuals in transition, couples, business partners, and creative types – anyone interested in achieving greater happiness and success in their lives and professions.
Ira earned both a Masters (MPA) and Doctorate Degree (Ph.D.) in Public Administration from the Maxwell School at Syracuse University. Later, he decided to become a psychotherapist and graduated with an MSW from NYU School of Social Work. Ira went on to perfect his capabilities as a therapist by graduating from Washington Square Institute with a Certificate in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy. He specializes in working with people who have undergone trauma utilizing a therapeutic technique: EMDR.
In late 1997, Ira became interested in finding out more about coaching. After enrolling at CoachU in early 1998, her graduated in January 2002 and received his ACC credential in 2004.
From founding the NYC chapter in 1999, to being a Regional Leader, to becoming the Chapter Outreach Coordinator from 2003 to the present, Ira has spent time, effort, and love in building up the ICF infrastructure, the place where new members meet the ICF, the Chapters.
